Morning folks, just a quick wee question. Has anyone ever installed a BT IPlate or know if they are any good? They are only Ł7 and apparently can increase your broadband speed quite significantly as they separate the "bell line" inside your socket that can cause interference.
They are only 7 squid but I don't fancy messing with my telephone socket unless it's gonna make a half decent difference! ![]() Cheers dudes. |

Yes it works, somewhat. Not hugely but can make a difference
You can do it yourself at the master scoket too: //www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/socket.htm |

Nice one Mike, cheers for the article ![]() Doesn't seem too complex actually, I might just have a go disconnecting the bell wire myself, I like the idea of giving my BT line an "electronic circumcision". ![]() **SNIP SNIP** |

Read this - especially the section titled "Determine if an I-Plate or Filtered Faceplate will help you" to check if an i-plate will actually do anything to help.
