I just installed the latest Nvidia drivers 169.21 and did a 3DMark06. The results are amazing!!! Look for yourselves:

364 3DMark06 points more than with the older drivers and when my PC wasn't so full with games installed.

Nice score kamikazi the E8500 is a great CPU and the 9800GTX is a good card sadly being overlooked now the newer spec cards are out. just shows what a powerfull machine you can get for your money, when i bought my sub £700 rig from CP a year ago was getting a score of about 10500 so you can see the progress made with performance/price in just a year is about 33% :)  (check me out with my matherrmatics)

Your score doesn't seem far out to be honest 21.5K is a good score and in line with other results but Vantage seems low.

Can you ensure that SLI is enabled on the GPU - It may be set to multi-monitor mode

Fresh out of the box Ultra Scylla results (no overclocking, only upgrades of note to base package are Corsair XMS3 memory and a Coolermaster Hyper TX3 cooling fan). I can tweak this up without overclocking but using this as a baseline ;)

Not got Advanced or Professional 3dmark06 and using the one shot (free) Vantage so kind of stuck with default settings for it. ;)

One thing I've noticed is that the CPU may be getting short-changed a bit because of its default habit of slipping into power saving mode (Vantage at least gives it time to get going before taking the benchmark), and of course the baseline is without doing any tidying up of background processes etc.

This might be why the 3dmark06 can vary by up to 500 points on the final score without actually changing anything (the benchmark posted is at the lower end of the range). And then throw in Nvidia's built-in advantage on this benchmark... One day I'll see if I can break 18k. Think it should be very possible with this system without doing anything silly.

With the settings you asked for Luke (still nothing changed with regards to system but as little as possible running in the background):
