![]() Topic: Installing old ATA/133 hard drivePosted: 10/May/2012 at 22:16 |

Hi CP,
I bought the system below from you a little while ago. Playing loads of BF3 and I want to start recording some of my gameplay. Only thing is when using FRAPS it really slows down my frame rate. It was suggested to me that recording on to a 2nd hard drive while gaming from the 1st would be beneficial. I've got an old ATA /133 HD here that I want to install, but not sure how to go about it, particularly as the hard drive you installed is SATA-II. Here is the old hard drive and this is my system (which is working out nicely): *BASE_PRICE: [+721] BLUETOOTH: None CAS: Fractal Design Define R3 Black Pearl Gaming Case. An old IDE HDD will be slow and you'll need an add in card to run the drive. Best solution is to run BF3 and Fraps from an SSD and record to a separate fast HDD like the Samsung F3 or a Raptor. If possible split them between different SATA controllers.
