So EA is blaming casual gamers for it's decline in subscribers. What do you think needs fixing in SWTOR?

There's nothing wrong with the game really, beyond some weird graphical bugs that occur, particularly in higher levels. The multiple story strands give it a sense of involvement that's essentially unmatchable, and beneath that is a conventional MMO system that endures simply because it works.

The fall off - and it's not disastrous, as the game still has over a million core subscribers - can be accounted for by natural wastage. All MMOs lose subscribers at the end of the first month, those who were trying the game before subscribing, the casual element who treat games as disposable commodities (and there would be more of them given the IP) and those who have grinded a character to the highest level who consider that they've "finished it". There would be quite a few of the latter given the headstart period for SW:TOR, and I suspect that the free month that's been offered to Level 50 players was intended to lure some of them back in.

They probably need a longer free-to-play period with a modest level cap.

I guess the more casual player would be switching to Star Wars Kinect.

Is that a move for the Kinect?

Main issue with SWTOR is the lack of endgame content .. my entire clan left SWTOR after hitting 50 as there was little to do after that. Playing Alts don't cut it an more apparently.
