Pros: better graphics, multiple online gaming services where PSN/Live tie you to one can can control pricing as the have a monopoly, Wii, Xbox, PS3 controllers can all be made to work with PC, try running a console with a keyboard and mouse, more mature community, bigger community, uses beyond gaming, mountains of free content, upgradable, customisable, infinitely variable.
Cons: more expensive than a console, not a toy, requires a bit more maintenance. |

Thanks for your input. I don't know wheather it is just me but in the top right the forum link is being covered by the load, favourite, search and my basket. Just thought I'd point it out just incase it wasn't just mine. Is the maintenance side easy? Because I'm new to all of this I will just have the internet and self learning to help me (And also the helpful people on this forum). Is it a more serious community? I don't really want to go into a battlefield 3 game and some takes the helicopters and jets just to crash them on purpose. The reason to why I want to know more is because I'm going to be spending a lot of money on a high end PC so that I have the best experience possible.
Again thankyou both for your input. |

That glitch depends on how the browser scales fonts and screen/window size. Annoying isn't it?
More mature and broader not always more serious. You'll find all kinds of player and drift towards those communittes that suit you and your style. Just make sure you can fly a chopper before you take to the skies on a ranked server. |

Haha well I have got tons of experience on battlefield on 360 so i guess that will help me slightly. I'm just sick of the majority of the community on 360. Countless times I get immature messages from 7 yr olds that don't have a clue what they are doing on games. Also what do you think is better controller or keyboard and mouse? I've been playing the ghost recon online beta and I'm terrible with keyboard&mouse. Are you guys still running the platoon on battlefield?

best to stick with controller for flying and key board and mouse on foot. Try both for Tanks etc see what feels best.
Yes we have a platoon. I'll post the link later. |

The amount of immaturity from xbox live comes naturally.
Kids are more likely to ask for consoles as a gift than a high end PC, and adults are more reluctant to give consoles rather than high end PCs as a gift to kids. When buying a console... you don't need to research on components, guaranteed to be able to run games without need for hardware upgrade, cheaper (console itself, not the games), easier to use, requires less maintenance, simple user interface and has a really long lifespan. Also as a kid you only really need an electronic device for gaming. Consoles provide that and nothing more, nothing less. Edited by Cownchicken - 03/Apr/2012 at 06:22 |
