as the title says, PCG are suspecting that the next Xbox will feature Radeon 6670 for the GPU.

I think the GPU is a bit outdated for a medium exclusively made for gaming.

What do you think?

When paired with an AMD Fusion APU the 6670 does an OK job of playing BF3 it's roughly on par with a GTX460. So if adequate BF3 performance at 1080p is the target this may be a cost efficient way for AMD/Microsoft to do it. Performance will also be higher that the equivlent PC as console OSes are usually stripped to the minimum so there's less other stuff going on it the background.
