That's 120GB SSD is a good one. But beware of import duty, VAT and shipping pushing the price up to what you'd pay on these shores anyway.

In that case, yes, I'll look back into SSDs. I know amazon have a few that are in my price range.

Best bet with RAM is to replace the lot rather than trying to free up two of your four slots and plug in two 4GB sticks for instance.

8 Gigs is plenty for most things though - certainly extra is not going to improve gaming performance any ... do you really need it? An SSD would give you the biggest noticeable difference to your PC probably

Thanks for pointing that out-never did quite get what it was American stores meant by a rebate!

Well, I decided not to go to an SSD for the time being. I will, however, soon get £70 of amazon credit, which I am considering using to buy some more RAM. Seems alright and will be compatible with any system with SATA-II /III ports.

Note that the price is actually $120. You get a $20 mail in rebate, but if you read the small-ish print you see that's a prepaid card to use on a later purchase. If you read the smaller print (I didn't bother) you might find you are not eligible if you don't live in the right place or something).

This SSD is currently $100 US, or £65ish.

Given that I can order it easily (my parents are about to take a business trip for a few weeks to the States), would you guys recommended I get one? More importantly, would it be compatible? At present, my only hard drive is a 2TB Samsung HDD.
